Brampton/Caledon ARES is part of the ARES district known as GTA WEST, which is Peel and Halton regions. This is one of many districts in Ontario, each with its own District Emergency Coordinator (DEC) and one or more Emergency Coordinators (EC). Each EC coordinates one ARES group and most often this is part of the local Amateur Radio club but can be a stand-alone group. The EC is free to appoint as many AEC’s as he requires.
